Apr 6, 1988 - Dec 29, 2025
Linda Cheung, 37, sweet, thoughtful, and also sometimes feisty, was the kind of person who was happy to be there for you and lend a helping hand. Someone who would give the shirt off her back if needed. A person you could count on to go out of her way to do you a favor. A loyal friend and best girlfriend. A proud New Yorker, Linda sadly made the decision to leave behind her emotional pain on Monday, December 29, 2025. She will be missed by those who cherished her.
Born April 6, 1988, from humble beginnings, Linda found joy in the simple things. An artist at heart, she was always drawing, painting, or practicing calligraphy. Linda was the go-to artist at her coffee shop, creating murals, signs, and name tags. A favorite funny story is of someone attempting to plagiarize a fox she drew for a sign -- and doing a way worse job. She kept a photo somewhere of “mine vs theirs”.
Linda wore her heart on her sleeve and poured her soul into anything she did. She documented life with care and intention, photographing almost everything so no moment would be forgotten - especially food, friends, and sunsets. Linda loved spending time with friends, supporting their games, hiking, going to the beach, or simply running errands together. Being present to create memories even in the mundane moments of life. She was the perfect gift giver for anyone in her life, always making gifts and cards from scratch. All animals were loved in her presence. She would dodge traffic while crossing a street to pet a dog or cat.
Linda is survived by her mother, brother and sisters, and the many friends she loved like family. Friends and family said their goodbyes in Brooklyn NY on Sunday January 11, 2026. Linda’s family and friends would like to thank Ivy Cremation & Memorial Services of NY for assisting with arrangements.
Linda, thank you for your smiles, generosity, art, and good times. We see you and receive your message. We wish you the peace, love, and strength that you shared with many, on your journey onward.
